The fabulous New York, always a trend

Fall fashion is here ready to help us move towards autumn with old and new ideas and more fashion trends than ever.

Let’s go shopping in the top four fashion capitals of the world.

Paris is the home of haute couture and the most refined and respected houses in fashion world. Chanel or Dior ateliers are common centers of pilgrimage during fashion weeks.

Metallic knits, futuristic asymmetric cuts and cropped coats were Paris ready-to-wear proposals for this fall fashion. An 80’s revival, but 21st century style.

To hop on this trend, cinch your dress -wider belts this year- and chose some fabulous sneakers to walk miles. I’d start by visiting the masters’ boutiques in Rue Saint Honoré and the surrounding streets.

If you can afford a structured top from Yves Saint Laurent, go for it, girl. It’s this fall’s fashion must.

If you can’t, get ideas and inspiration to guide your shopping at Champs-Élyséss. This Hausmanian quarter offers international retailers but also less known names in Paris fashion. Some will become the futures Lagerfeld or Galiano so don’t hesitate visiting them.

Paris Fashion Week 2012 begins September 25th with Impass de la Défense at Gare de l’Est.

Loose trousers, military coats and furs were the main offers by last London Fashion Week. And studs, studs, studs. Don’t forget them; it’s the fashion trend.

Regent and Jermyn streets are a very good place for men to have a successful first meeting with London fashion. Reasonable designer prices and tradional shirts and shoe makers to make you feel as a true gentleman. If you have the cash, Savile Road is the place to get the perfect tailored suit.

Oxford St. is the biggest commercial area in Europe, so expect crowds attracted by designer outlets -true bargains- and department stores. Get a coffee-break at charming St. Christopher’s Place.

Carnaby and Nothing Hill are very touristic too but perfect for alternative shopping. If you don’t mind burning time in the chaos, you can’t find really interesting vintage pieces of urban wear.

Next London fall fashion runway? From 14th to 18th.

Nhow Milan. Cool, isn’t it?

You know I have a soft spot for Italian design. They can turn a simple coffee-maker into a sexy smooth device. Not to mention what they do to suits or cars.

Milan is the home of Prada, Gucci or Valentino, the names we love the most.

The place to go shopping is the Golden Triangle. Every boutique and international brand is there. Just having a coffee in Piazza del Duomo while watching the trendiest and cool people walk by worths the visit.

The place to stay? Try Nhow Milan.

Chosen by tripadvisors among the trendiest hotels in Italy, it was design as a place to feel comfortable experiences, fusioning fashion with elegance and functionality –true Italian design.

Carrie Bradshaw would be very happy with NY proposals for this fall. New York Fashion Week brought a stronger woman back from tough decades. Lavish feathers and leather for skirts and light ethnicity for accessories to ease the hard cuts.

We’ve seen them for a couple of seasons, but moccasins keep on arriving in all sorts of color combinations, fabrics and designs, so expect them again next 2013. For you guys, don’t throw on fluorescent colors unless you’re a kid -meaning you don’t want to date.

A crimson smooth pair -or camel ones if you are a classic- could work wonders on your sex-appeal. And for God’s sake, make your socks match.
